Valentines Day Mondello Park 8 Hour Race

Valentine’s Day Mondello 8-Hour Honda Race
A Honda 50 Endurance Race in aid of Dublin Rape Crisis Centre

Mondello Park's first Motorcycle Endurance race for many years the 'Valentines Day Mondello 8 Hour' will take place on Sunday 14th of February when fifty teams armed with humble Honda 50's will take to the track in aid of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.

While nominally for Honda 50's, the 70cc and 90cc versions of this beloved little classic will also be allowed to enter. The event which features fifty teams of four riders each has been oversubscribed almost since its launch and will boast a number of big names from the motorcycle world amongst its entrants. Former Irish Superbike Champion Brian McCormick, Supersport racer Declan Swanton and comedian and motorcycle racer PJ Gallagher are among the notable entries as are all girl team Sheila's Wheels.

The event will be organised by the Blackchurch Racing Association in Dublin as a fundraiser for the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre and as part of this Mondello Park will also contribute to the collection. Admission to the event will be just ten euro's with five euros from each ticket going to the charity. Further details including the timetable will be released closer to the event.

Kindly sponsored by Broderick’s Bars & Cakes – www.broderickbrothers.com

All proceeds from the day go to Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.
